Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amino-modified siloxane compound capable of providing a modified imide resin or thermosetting resin composition exhibiting, when used for various applications, an excellent low curing shrinkage, a low thermal expansion, favorable dielectric characteristics, and a high modulus of elasticity.SOLUTION: The provided amino-modified siloxane compound possessing, within the molecule structure thereof, an aromatic azomethine is obtained by reacting (A) a modified siloxane compound possessing at least one intramolecular aldehyde group and obtained by reacting (i) a siloxane compound whose molecule terminal possesses at least two primary amino groups and (ii) an aromatic aldehyde compound possessing at least two intramolecular aldehyde groups with (B) an aromatic amine compound possessing at least two intramolecular primary amino groups; a modified imide resin and a thermosetting resin composition each using the same, etc. are also provided.
