Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyoxyalkylene monool or polyol devoid of unpleasant odors and generating no odors even after having been stored over an extended period.SOLUTION: In the provided method for manufacturing a polyoxyalkylene monool or polyol, a polyoxyalkylene monool or polyol obtained by addition-polymerizing, in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst (a), an active hydrogen-containing compound (c) and an alkylene oxide (d) is treated at 100°C to 180°C under pressure in the presence of water and an acid.
