To provide an ampelopsis extract composition or the like capable of eliminating unpleasant taste such as bitterness or astringency attributable to peculiar components contained in ampelopsis.
The ampelopsis extract composition comprises ampelopsis extract and at least one compound selected from sugar alcohols, edible acids and monosaccharides and disaccharides each with sweetness 0.1-0.7 time that of sucrose. In this composition, it is preferable that the sugar alcohol(s) is at least one compound selected from erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol, palatinite, lactitol and reducing starch-saccharified products, the edible acid(s) is at least one selected from citric acid, malic acid, lactic acid, ascorbic acid, gluconic acid and phosphoric acid, and the monosaccharide(s) or disaccharide(s) is at least one selected from glucose, xylose, galactose, maltose, lactose, lactulose and palatinose.
