Abstract:
To provide a therapeutic method of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other diseases characterized by deposition of amyloid.
Provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising analogs of autologous amyloid precursor protein (APP) or of -amyloid (A), or a conjugate containing polyhydroxypolymer backbone bonded with the analog, or a nucleic acid encoding the analog, or non-pathogenic microorganisms or virus having nucleic acid fragments encoding and exhibiting the analogs, as an autogenous vaccine.
