PURPOSE: To transmit the stably high quality signal by oscillating the light of a 1.3μm band as an LD, using the material in which the reflection coating is executed to both edge surfaces to output the light, using the single mode fiber for the optical transmission line and making all fiber edge surfaces for transmission slanting to the fiber optical axis.
CONSTITUTION: An APC circuit 14 is a circuit to control an LD bias electric current so that the backward output light of an LD can be monitored and come to be constant, and an ATC circuit 15 controls the temperature of an LD part of an LD module 13. An LD output light is guided to a pig tail fiber 16 composed of a single mode fiber (SMF). At other edge of the pig tail fiber 16, a slanting grinding connector 17 where the edge surface is slantingly ground is provided, and connected to an SMF 21 for transmission through it. At both edges of the SMF 21 for transmission, the slanting grinding connector is provided, for one edge, the slanting connector resistance at the optical transmission device side is executed, and an other edge 18 is guided to a photodetecting element 19. A photoreceptor device 22 is composed of the photodetecting element 19 such as APD and a low noise angle 20.
