Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an angle setting device of a wire electrode capable of correctly setting an angle of a wire electrode before electric discharge machining and of being automated.
CONSTITUTION: A measuring stand 4 with a pair of contacts 7, 8 slipped in position in the vertical and the horizontal directions is fixed on an X-Y table, an actual angle of a wire electrode 2 is found from respective coordinates that the wire electrode 2 makes contact with these contacts 7, 8, and by driving a guide 3 in accordance with this actual angle, the wire electrode 2 is corrected to a desired angle.
