PURPOSE: To enhance a fixed-ion concentration and an ion exchange capacity, by forming an anion exchanger from a polymerizate of a monomeric mixture containing a vinyl monomer having an amino group connected with a long chain alkyl group and a crosslinking agent.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of producing a film form anion exchanger, a polymerization initiator such as benzoyl peroxide and azobisisobutyronitrile is added to a monomeric mixture containing a vinyl monomer having an amino group connected with a long chain alkyl group and a crosslinking agent, the resultant admixture is formed into a film, and polymerization is performed. A method in which a soluble powdery thermoplastic resin, e.g., polyethylene or polypropylene is added to the monomeric mixture as a reinforcement or a method in which the monomeric mixture is applied to a reinforcement such as a nonwoven or woven fabric of Teviron, Tetron, Saran or the like followed by polymerization can be preferably adopted.
