Title:
ANISOTROPICALLY ELECTROCONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11209714
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an anisotropically electroconductive adhesive that is useful for electric connection of LCD(liquid crystal display) or PDP(plasma display) to a circuit board having its driving circuits on the board.

This anistropically electrodconductive adhesive is characterized by dispersing electroconductive particles 2 that are made of an acrylic resin, each composed of a flexible core 21 and a shell 22 harder than the core 21 and plated with a metal on its surface, in an insulating adhesive composition. In addition, the electroconductive particles have a 10% compression strength of 0.2-5.0 kg/mm2 and a recovery of 5-90%. Thus, this electroconductive adhesive has a low value of initial connection resistance and retains its performance of excellent reliability for a long period of time.
