Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular coil that is excellent in heat dissipation while holding desired magnetic performance, is able to easily increase the number of winds of conductive wire, and is able to reduce damage to insulation coating of the conductive wire being wound.SOLUTION: An annular coil of horizontal type, which is excellent in heat dissipation, comprises: an insulation coated conductive wire; a first core segment having a first coil part, a first non-coil part, and a first joint face formed at the final end of the first non-coil part; and a second core segment having a second coil part, a second non-coil part, and a second joint face formed at the final end of the second non-coil part. The relation between lengths L3 of the first and second non-coil parts, diameters d1, d2 of the conductive wires, and the number of wind layers m1, m2 satisfy L3>d1×m1+d2×m2. In the formula, L3 is the lengths of the first and second non-coil parts, d1 is the diameter of the conductive wire wound around the first coil part, d2 is the diameter of the conductive wire wound around the second coil part, m1 is the number of layers of conductive wire wound around the first coil part, and m2 is the number of layers of conductive wire wound around the second coil part.
