Abstract:

To provide an anode active substance which has proper heat stability and is cheap, and further whose initial discharge capacity is sufficiently large that can withstand the use as a real battery, as the anode active substance for a lithium ion secondary batterry.

A composite hydroxide shown by general Formula Mn(1-Y-Z)NiYAlZ(OH)2 is heat-treated at 900-1,000°C to produce a manganese-nickel-aluminium composite oxide, and the manganese-nickel-aluminium composite oxide and a lithium compound produced are mixed and heat-treated at 650-850°C, to produce a lithium-manganese-nickel-aluminium composite oxide.
