Abstract:
To provide a membrane electrode assembly for an alkaline fuel cell capable of solving a problem that increase in catalyst amount and improvement in diffusion of fuel and OH- ions conflict with each other, in order to promote anode reaction of the alkaline fuel cell.
The membrane electrode assembly for the alkaline fuel cell has a catalyst carrier layer carrying a metal or a metal compound and a fuel diffusion layer which is made of a metal mesh and has a thickness of 100-1,000 m alternately laminated on a porous body.
