PURPOSE: To obtain an anticorrosive coating composition to be diluted with water, not using an organic solvent, capable of being diluted with water, having utility in stability after dilution with water and in pot life, having the same or better curing and drying properties, corrosion resistance, adhesiveness to substrates than those of conventional modified epoxy resin coating compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An self-emulsifiable type epoxy resin, (B) a polyamine-based curing agent having 60-250g/equivalent active hydrogen equivalent and (C) a hydrocarbon resin liquid at normal temperature are used as essential components wherein the amount of active hydrogen contained in the component B is 0.7-1.5 equivalent based on 1 equivalent epoxy group contained in the component A and the amount of the component C used is 20-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total amounts of the components A and B.
