Abstract:
4-Amino-1-(2-deoxy- beta -D-ribofuranosyl)-1H-imidazo [4,5-c] pyridine, esters thereof and pharmaceutical salts thereof, methods for the preparation thereof, pharmaceutical formulations thereof and the use thereof in medicine, in particular in the treatment of inflammation, are disclosed. Also disclosed are intermediates for use in preparing the title compound and methods for the preparation of the intermediates.
