Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heighten the responsiveness of braking control in an antilock braking device for a vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: Torque generated at the axle shaft 2 of rear wheels (driving wheels) 1 is detected by a torque sensor 3, and braking force is controlled by an ABS controller 4 through an actuator 7 and a wheel cylinder 10 so as to be kept below the specified value close to 0 (zero) in the same direction as the direction of this torque generated at the time of driving force being transmitted from the axle shaft 2 to the rear wheel 1. The lock state of the rear wheels is detected rapidly so as to control braking force with good responsiveness.
