Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antireflection film having excellent durability and stress releasing property by forming inorg. compd. layers having different refractive indices in such a manner that the refractive index in the thickness direction is not uniform for the optical thickness (the product of the refractive index and the geometric film thickness).
SOLUTION: A hard coating layer 3, an antireflection layer 4 and a water- repelling layer 5 are successively formed on a base body 2. The antireflection layer 4 consists of high refractive index material layers 41 and low refractive index material layers 42. The refractive index n in each material layer 41, 42 is made not uniform, but the product of the refractive index n and the geometric film thickness d (n×d) is made const. For example, a UV-curing type acryl resin is applied by a microgravure coating method on a triacetyl cellulose film as the substrate 2 to form the hard coating layer 3 of 5μm thickness. Then a titanium oxide as the high refractive index layers 41 and silicon dioxide as the low refractive index layers 42 are alternately deposited on the hard coating layer 3 to form the antireflection layer 4. Then a perfluorosilane is applied by CVD method to form the water-repellent layer 5.
