To provide an active type apparatus for absorbing pressure pulsation designed to surely respond to the pressure pulsation including that in a low-frequency region and control the pressure pulsation though the advent of an apparatus for absorbing the pressure pulsation is expected because there is no such apparatus capable of covering the range of 0.01-100 Hz required by actual equipment in spite of that an attenuator is arranged as the apparatus for absorbing the pressure pulsation in a raw material pipeline system for papermaking.
A part of a raw material liquid is always taken out of a main pipe 1 for feeding the raw material liquid to a headbox of a paper machine with a bypass pipe 2, etc., and the amount taken out of the raw material liquid is increased or reduced according to the size of the pulsated pressure of the main pipe 1 to thereby absorb the pressure pulsation of the raw material for papermaking. As a result, the pulsation of the raw material including a low-frequency region is precisely and accurately absorbed to thereby reduce the fluctuation in basis weight and achieve the stable feed and higher quality of the final product.
