Title:
APPARATUS FOR ANALYSIS OF HEART BREATHING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61326
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
An apparatus (1) for the analysis of the cardiorespiratory function at rest as well as during exercise comprises a mouthpiece (2), a control valve means (5), a spirometer (12) and an analysing and recording system (13). The mouth piece (2) is connected via said control valve means (5) to said spirometer means (12) by conduit means (4). Furthermore, said analysing and recording system (13) is functionally connected to said spirometer means (12). To achieve the advantageous effects of the present invention there is provided a second control valve (10) which is disposed in said conduit means (7) between said first control valve means (5) and said spirometer means (12). Furthermore, there is provided a by-pass conduit (22), one end of which is connected to said conduit means (4) between said mouthpiece (2) and said control valve means (5) and the other end of which is connected to said second control valve means (10). The second control valve means (10) includes a diaphragm (14) which is adapted to open and close a line (16) in accordance with pressure conditions in said by-pass conduit (22) which directly can be changed by the patient's inhaling and exhaling, respectively. This arrangement ensures a simple and reliable design and offers a wide range of possibilities for medial applications.
