To provide an apparatus for carrying materials to be treated and an electrostatic coating method using the apparatus, wherein the sideways or slanted striped pattern, gradation pattern or the like can easily be applied to the material to be treated by carrying the material while rotating in such a state as held at a gradient angle to the rotary shaft of a spindle and by applying a coating to the material in the above state.

The apparatus for carrying the material to be treated is provided with a spindle having a rotary shaft in a vertical direction. The spindle has a curved arm tool for holding the material at a slanted angle to the rotary shaft of the spindle, and the material is rotated in such a state as held at a prescribed gradient angle to the rotary shaft of the spindle.
