To provide an apparatus for cutting off a sheet, which simply cuts off a continuously supplied belt shape sheet into specifically sized sheets and continuously carry them at a required interval without using complicated mechanisms.

The apparatus for cutting off the sheet cuts off the strip sheet 10, which is continuously supplied from a sheet supplying means 11, into specifically sized sheets 10A, and continuously carries the sheets 10A at the specified interval. The apparatus comprises: a cutter roll 2; an anvil roll 3; and a dancer roll mechanism 4 which comes into contact with the sheet 10 to be supplied between the rolls 2, 3, and reciprocates. The anvil roll 3 sucks the sheet 10 on its outer circumferential surface, and turns at a peripheral speed higher than the supply speed of the sheet 10 by a supply means 11. The dancer roll mechanism 4 comprises a dancer roll 41 for pushing the sheet 10 against the outer circumferential surface of the anvil roll 3 in cutting off the sheet 10.
