Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a belt from loosening and further ensure the cutting of rush seedlings while facilitating the feed of the nipped and conveyed rush seedlings to a pair of upper and lower endless conveying belts in an apparatus for cutting the rush seedlings to an even length.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is obtained by installing respective intermediate idler rollers 40 and 50 in a pair of upper and lower endless conveying belts 8 and 9 in an asymmetric state on the upstream side of the conveying from cutting means (14a) and (14b) and arranging the extended direction of a conveying surface by the endless conveying belt 8 from a winding, stretching and supporting roller 52 on the upstream side of conveying in the upper endless conveying belt 8 to the idler roller 50 so as to greatly spread and tilt toward the upstream side of the conveying relatively to the conveying direction by the lower endless conveying belt 9.
