Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for designing a cigarette filter by which a calculated value is easily obtained when various parameters are changed and the difference between the calculated value and an observed value is small.
SOLUTION: This apparatus for designing the cigarette filter is constituted by calculating the amount of generated smoke components and the amount of smoking of each novel cigarette and a rate of filter ventilation in a calculation part 14 from data 10 of a base cigarette input from an input part 11 and design data 12 of a new cigarette and correcting the amount of generated smoke components and the amount of smoking of each new cigarette and the rate of filter ventilation by a correction factor calculated in a correction part 16 by using measured data of the base cigarette and outputting them. Thus, the data of the new cigarette is easily obtained and the apparatus for designing the cigarette filter having small difference between the calculated value and the observed value is provided.
