Image signals of a taken-in image are inverted at a reverse part 12 on each one main scanning and the most black part of the image signals is detected by a black level control part 14 to control the electric voltage value of this part so as to coincide with a pedestal level. Then, the whole image signals are amplified by an amplifying part 16 and the whole image signals are shifted to the black level direction by a clamp control part 18. In addition, blanking of signals in a specified area is performed by a blanking control part 20 and noise components in the neighborhood of a peculier point. are suppressed by a noise bias control part 23. This signal is amplified by a detected signal amplifying part 46 and is compared by a comparator 48 and a green lamp 54 or a red lamp 56 is turned on based on the counter value counted by a counter 50 to display existence or absence of the peculier point.
