Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the judgement processing of a color by successively sampling the output signal of a light detection element in synchronous relation to the emitted light from a light emitting source and judging the color of a part to be measured on the basis of the sampled signal. CONSTITUTION:A color discrimination apparatus is constituted of a CPU 1, a timing signal forming part 2 generating a light emission timing signal and a sampling timing signal, an LED driving part 3 forming a drive current on the basis of the emission intensity data outputted from the CPU 1 corresponding to the light emission timing signal, LEDs 4, 5 illuminating a paper sheet 6 corresponding to respective drive signals, a photosensor 7 detecting the reflected light from the paper sheet 6, an amplifier circuit 8 amplifying the output of the sensor 7 and a light detection part 9 holding the output of the sensor 7 to supply the same to the CPU 1. The LEDs 5, 6 are alternately lighted and sample hold circuits 14a, 14b are alternately subjected to sampling operation and the wavelength lambda1 and detected light lambda2 outputted from the sensor 7 are sampled and supplied to the CPU 1 to judge a color.
