Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for generating a route and a method thereof, which improves the convenience of a user by generating a driving route where a user arrives at a destination in accordance with a desired arrival time to guide the user.SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises: a communication section that receives at least one of location information of a vehicle, map information, destination information, and a desired arrival time of a user; a route generation section that generates one or more candidate routes on the basis of at least one of the location information, the map information, and the destination information; a calculation section that calculates at least one of an estimated arrival time for each route and an estimated remaining battery capacity for each route with respect to respective candidate routes included in one or more candidate routes on the basis of at least one of the map information and the one or more candidate routes; a driving route determination section that determines a driving route on the basis of at least one of the one or more candidate routes, the estimated arrival time for each route, the desired arrival time, and the estimated remaining battery capacity for each route; and an interface section that guides the user along the driving route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
