Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting the internal pressure of a can which conducts precise inspection of the internal pressure of the can regardless of the more or less error of the diameter of a can body.
SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a conveyor which puts and transfers the can 12, a pair of rollers 14a, 14b, 54a, 54b which are placed on both sides of the conveyor so that they face with each other at a distance shorter than the diameter of the can 12, hold the can body of the transferred can 12 from the both sides, and press the can body radially inwardly, a detecting part which detects the reaction force of the pressed can body. The apparatus further comprises a first measuring means 10 and a second measuring means 50 which are placed at a predetermined distance along the moving direction of the conveyor and a driving part which rotates the pair of rollers 14a, 14b of the first measuring means 10 at different peripheral velocities to rotate the can 12. In the apparatus, the rotating velocity difference between the rollers 14a and 14b of the first measuring means 10 sets a radial relative angular difference pressed by the first measuring means 10 and the second measuring means 50 to be 90 degrees ± 30 degrees.
