Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting and controlling rotating speed of an induction motor that can drive the induction motor without any strains on an inverter even in an abnormal state such as instantaneous power failure and power recovery.
SOLUTION: A speed detecting apparatus of the induction motor comprises a voltage controller 43 that compares the rated current of a motor with current detected from the motor to generate an output voltage, a frequency controller 44 that compares a reference excitation current of the motor with an excitation current detected from the motor to generate an output frequency, and an output frequency selector 64 that compares a frequency due to the output voltage of the voltage controller 43 with the output frequency of the frequency controller 44 to select a final output frequency.
