Abstract:
To estimate outer air temperature and to predict dew formation well without sacrifice of the space.
The apparatus for detecting dew formation on the object to be measured, i.e., the drum 4, in a helical scan type tape traveling system provided in an electronic apparatus 1 comprises a section 8 for detecting the temperature of the drum 4, a section 6 for acquiring the outer air temperature of the electronic apparatus 1, and a section 6 for calculating the dew point from the outer air temperature at such a humidity as the use environment of the electronic apparatus 1 is taken into account and a decision is made that dews are formed if the temperature of the drum 4 is not higher than the dew point.
