Abstract:
To prevent a resin material from leaking to an unintended place, in an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a metal-resin composite.SOLUTION: An apparatus 50 is for press-molding a metal plate 10 and a resin material 20 to manufacture a metal-resin composite 1. The apparatus 50 includes an upper mold 110 and a lower mold 120 that sandwich the metal plate 10 and the resin material 20. The upper mold 110 and the lower mold 120 provide a cavity C in which the resin material 20 is arranged. A distance d23 between the upper mold 110 and the lower mold 120 is set smaller than a thickness t of the metal plate 10 such that when the upper mold 110 and the lower mold 120 are closed, the upper mold 110 and the metal plate 10 interfere with each other due to the design and seal the cavity C. Press forming is performed while the distance d23 is expanded to the thickness t of the metal plate 10 by bending the upper mold 110 while sealing the cavity C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
