Title:
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING STIMULATION INTENSITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012200320
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an apparatus and method for measuring stimulation intensity to solve such a problem that significant difference can not be acquired under certain experiment conditions, in the case where data varies widely, for example, by a conventional method whereby time series of heart rate and blood pressure corresponding indexes are filtered and the maximum value of the cross-correlation coefficient between them is found and is evaluated, as one of the methods for measuring the stimulation intensity to a living body.

The time series of heart rate and blood pressure corresponding indexes are calculated from pulse waveforms measured by a pulse wave sensor 2, and then are filtered. Further, the maximum value of the cross-correlation coefficient between them is found and is recorded on recording means 8. Variance and/or standard deviation is calculated from a plurality of pieces of data recorded on the recording means 8. A difference in stimulation intensity to the living body is detected from a significant change in the variance and/or standard deviation.
