To provide an apparatus for moving and positioning a workpiece, in which apparatus a long carriage base in the X-axis direction is divided into a plurality of carriage bases, and workpiece clamps can move over the respective carriage bases.
The carriage bases 19A, 19B capable of moving in the Y-axis direction with respect to the working position P in a plate material working machine are provided to be long in the X-axis direction. A plurality of workpiece clamps 25A to 25C are provided on the carriage bases 19A, 19B so as to move in the X-axis direction. The carriage bases 19A, 19B are divided into a plurality of carriage bases, and the workpiece clamp 25B is provided so as to move over the divided plural carriage bases 19A, 19B. One carriage base 19A is provided so as to project to one side of a center table 9 in the X-axis direction in the plate material working machine from above the center table 9, and the other carriage base 19B is arranged on the other side of the center table 9 in the X-axis direction.
