Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to sufficiently eliminate an influence of an engaged range between brush plates on the surface pattern of a needle nonwoven web by ending the bristle tufts of the rows of tufts which extend adjacent to and along the joints between the brush plates individually or in groups in alternation by the two brush plates which are arranged on opposite side of the joint, in the apparatus for needling the web.

CONSTITUTION: In this apparatus for needling a web, the apparatus comprises a brush-like web support which consists of individual brush plates which complement each other so that tufts for forming textile web support pieces form tuft rows connected over the brush plates, and is circulated around a rotary roller. The characteristic comprises that the bristle tufts 4a and 4b of the rows of tufts 5a and 6a extending along the joint 7 between brush plates 2 are provided in pairs in alternation of the brush plates 2 arranged on both sides of the joint 7.
