Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent drop stitch from occurring in a former stage for transferring a loop in knitting the makeup of socks of the type of inserting and knitting a motif pattern in a rib top part and improve the quality of the makeup in relation to an apparatus for operating a dial cam for preventing the drop stitch of the makeup of the socks from occurring in a circular knitting machine for knitting the motif pattern in the rib top part.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus for operating a dial cam is obtained by installing each transfer jack 6 in a rotating dial 5 so as to advance and retreat in the radial direction with an inside ring cam 7 and an outside ring cam 8 and pushing a transfer jack 7 outward with a press-out cam 10 and press-in cam 11 in makeup to transfer a loop to a knitting needle 2. In the apparatus, an auxiliary press-out cam 20 is liftably and lowerably installed just before the press-out cam 10 to push the transfer jack 6 outward with the auxiliary press-out cam in completing the makeup.
