To provide an apparatus for recording impacts during transportation and capable of adapting to long periods of transportation by suppressing electric power consumption.
A signal recording device 1 of the apparatus 13 for recording impacts during transportation turns into a wake-up state when an acceleration switch 8 is turned off (into an operating state) when a load starts to fall or due to an impact, supplies electric power for a calendar device 10, reads the date of the fall from the calendar device 10, cuts off the electric power supply for the calendar device 10 when a time Tb has elapsed since the acceleration switch 8 is turned on (into a nonoperating state), and turns into a sleep state. During its wake-up state, the signal recording device 1 counts a period when the acceleration switch 8 is continuously off (in an operating state) as a fall time Ta, inputs signals from an accelerator 9 during its wake-up state, updates its maximum value Vmax, and records and stores the year, month, day, hour, minute, second of its occurrence; the fall time Ta, and the acceleration maximum value Vmax in EPROM 5. By this constitution, it is possible to adapt to long periods of transportation by suppressing electric power consumption.
