This signal analyzer has an image acquiring means (image processing/display/indication device 8) for acquiring the image corresponding to at least one observation region of a sample, a designation means (mouse 20) for designating at least one arbitrary point related to the acquired image, an arrangement means (CPU 3) for arranging a measuring point at the position corresponding to the indicated point, a forming means for forming a signal for expressing the intensity data at the arranged measuring point, a detection means (optical sensor 23) for detecting the signal formed by the forming means and a signal analyzing means (computer 25) for analyzing the detected signal. The signal detected by the detection means (optical sensor 23) is the signal corresponding to at least one arbitrary point designated by the designation means (mouse 20).
