Title:
APPARATUS FOR SENSING IRREGULAR INSTALLATION OF CAPABILITY SETTING PARTS IN AIR CONDITIONER AND ITS SENSING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3134765
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a positive sensing of irregular installation of capability setting parts to be attained by a method wherein a capability set at a capability discriminating section of each of the air conditioners and a capability set by a capability setting parts are compared to each other in a system in which a plurality of air conditioners are controlled in response to a constant of each of capability setting parts so as to discriminate an irregular installation state at the capability setting parts.
SOLUTION: A microcomputer reads a constant for setting a hardware capability of an air conditioner through resistors r1, r2 in a capability setting circuit JP connected to both capability setting circuit connector terminals T1, T2 of a control circuit board B when a power supply is turned on. Then, the computer reads a constant for use in setting a software capability of an air conditioner from a capability setting component B inserted into a capability setting component connector CN and loaded there. Next, capabilities of the air conditioner each of which is set by both constants are compared to each other and it is discriminated if both of them are coincided to each other. Thus, in the case that they are not coincided from each other, a capability setting abnormal code is set, displayed at a displaying section of a remote controller acting as a displaying means and then the air conditioner is forcedly stopped.
