Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding apparatus with small-sized simple structure capable of reducing welding defect.SOLUTION: There is provided a welding apparatus 10 for a sheet-like thin plate which guides and conveys steel plates 1, 2 adjacent to each other on the same plane to a welding position M to conduct a butt weld of the plates 1, 2. Clamp rollers 14 are installed above the plates 1, 2 at both sides of the width direction of the plates 1, 2 with the welding position M as a boundary, and reference rollers 15 are installed below the plates 1, 2 at both sides of the width direction of the plates 1, 2 with the welding position M as the boundary. Those clamp rollers 14 and reference rollers 15 are disposed to face each other in a vertical direction and are configured to clamp the plates 1, 2 in the vertical direction. The respective rotational axes are set sidlingly to a horizontal plane.
