Abstract:
To provide aqueous pharmaceutical compositions comprising 2,6-diisopropylphenol (propofol).
The aqueous pharmaceutical composition includes propofol and one or more excipients, such as poloxamer, Benzalkonium chloride, Cremophor EL, Deoxycholate, Polyoxyethylene stearate 100, Polysorbate 80, Vitamin E TPGS. The propofol-containing compositions are sterile, are parenterally administered to any animal, including humans, and also chemically and physically stable over a wide range of environmental conditions.
