Abstract:
To obtain a one-component aqueous coating agent for steel excellent in resistances to corrosion, solvents, and alkalis, adhesion to coating, film adhesiveness, and bath stability and suitable for coating steel such as galvanized or non-coated steel; to provide a method for coating steel with the same; and coated steel.
The aqueous coating agent is prepared by compounding 5-30 mass% (solid basis) aqueous resin dispersion with 0.1-20 mass% silica particles and 0.01-5 mass% at least one compound selected from among urea compounds, phosphonate compounds, thiophosphonate compounds, phosphine oxide compounds, and hydroxylated sulfide compounds.
