Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous composition excellent in dispersibility, lacquering power, high drying rate, especially touch and readiness of disentaglement, containing a film-forming acrylic oligomer.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by adding 3-20wt.% based on a dried amount in the total of the composition of a soluble or dispersible film- forming acrylic oligomer having ≤50,000 molecular weight measured by size exclusion chromatography and 0-45°C glass transition temperature Tg to an aqueous medium for a cosmetic. The acrylic oligomer, for example, is obtained by polymerizing 20-45wt.% based on the total of monomers of a monomer such as tert-butyl methacrylate with 5-25wt.% of a carboxylic acid functional group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer or monomer mixture and an acrylic acid (1-4C) alkyl ester type monomer except tert-butyl acrylate. The composition can be prepared into an aerosol hair spray or a pump type spray high in solid content of a lacquering agent.
