Abstract:

To provide an aqueous emulsion which is stable in time-lapse and can give smooth texture, lubricity, gloss, etc., when applied to an object to be treated.

An aqueous emulsion comprise an organopolysiloxane having one or more anionic groups in a molecule and a cationic surfactant wherein the ratio C/A, the equivalents (C) of the cationic groups to the equivalents (A) of the anionic groups in the organopolysiloxane is more than 1. The method for production thereof is also provided.
