PURPOSE: To obtain an aq. plastic dispersion which has stretchability at a low temp. and good adhesion by introducing a specified ethylenic monomer mixture into an aq. phase contg. an emulsifier and a radical initiator, introducing the monomer mixture into a latex, and conducting polymn.
CONSTITUTION: A monomer mixture composed of a monoethylenic monomer (i) having a glass transition temp. of 25°C or below in the form of a homopolymer, a graft-crosslinkable monomer (ii) having at least two ethylenically unsatd. group with at least one of them being an allyl group, and an uncrosslinkable comonomer (iii) is introduced in an amt. of 50 to 90 pts.(wt.) into an aq. phase contg. an emulsifier and a radical initiator. Subsequently, 50 to 10 pts. mixture composed of the component (i), a monoethylenic monomer (iv) having a glass transition temp. of 25°C or above in the form of a homopolymer, and a copolymerizable monoethylenic monomer (v) is introduced under polymn. conditions into a corresponding latex, followed by polymn. to obtain the aq. plastic dispersion.
