Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of processes with twisting works eliminated, and simplify works by bending the intermediate part of an arm piece based on a line inclined with respect to a line perpendicularly intersected with the longitudinal direction of a wiper blade in the arm piece whose based end part is mounted integrally with the tip end part of a retainer.
SOLUTION: A wiper arm 1 is made up of an arm piece 6 whose base end part is mounted integrally to the tip end part of a retainer 5 which is provided for an arm head 3 via a support shaft 4 in such a way as to be freely rocked, and of the various kinds of member devices such as an elastic unit 7 and the like energizing the arm piece 6 toward the direction of a pane of window glass. And bending works matching with the wiping motion of a blade over a curved glass surface, are applied to the arm piece 6. Namely, a bending work part 6a is set at the intermediate part of the arm piece 6, and the bending work directed to the plate surface direction is applied to the aforesaid bending work part based on a line L' having an angle α with respect to a line L perpendicularly intersected with the longitudinal direction of a wiper blade (the longer direction of the arm piece tip end part) BL.
