Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature winding which has a lot of slots suitable for a high-capacity rotary electric machine of an indirect cooling type and has high reliability.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a two layer winding armature winding of three-phase even number poles, which is housed in 45 slots per one pole provided in a lamination iron core is provided. Each phase of the winding includes five parallel circuits divided into two phase zones including first and second phase zones. Each parallel circuit is formed by an upper coil piece and a lower coil piece which are serially connected to each other by a connection side coil end and a non-connection-side coil end. A coil piece corresponding to the first and second parallel circuits is placed in the first phase zone, a coil piece corresponding to the fourth and fifth parallel circuits is placed in the second phase zone, and a coil piece corresponding to the third parallel circuit is placed in the first and second phase zones. The upper coil piece and the lower coil piece in each parallel circuit are arranged so that a position counted from a pole center side becomes the same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
