Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polynucleotide encoding a protein having an activity of transferring an aromatic acyl group to sugars at the 5 and 3' positions of anthocyanin.SOLUTION: The polynucleotide is selected from the group consisting of: (a) a polynucleotide comprising a specific base sequence; (b) a polynucleotide comprising a base sequence complementary to the specific base sequence, which hybridizes to the polynucleotide under stringent conditions; (c) a polynucleotide that encodes a protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence; (d) a polynucleotide that encodes a protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted, inserted and/or added; (e) a polynucleotide that encodes a protein having an amino acid sequence of 90% or more sequence identity with the specific amino acid sequence.SELECTED DRAWING: None
