PURPOSE: To obtain an aromatic agent composition, capable of directly manifesting the moderate aromaticity even when the environment is changed to a low temperature without excessively emitting an aroma even at high temperatures.

CONSTITUTION: This aromatic agent contains water and an aromatic agent together with a vinyl polymer capable of providing an aqueous solution or an aqueous suspension sharply gelatinizing when the temperature is increased and rapidly returning to the liquid state when the temperature is reduced and reversibly changing the hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity at a prescribed temperature as a boundary. A polymer comprising an N-alkyl or an N-alkylene(meth) acrylamide or a polymer comprising a vinyl carboxylic acid ester of an alkylene oxide adduct of a cyclic amine or a ≥5C acyclic amine is cited as the vinyl polymer and the latter is especially preferred. A polymer capable of manifesting 100000-1000000 weight-average molecular weight and 25-70°C temperature at which the hydrophilicity is changed into the hydrophobicity is preferably used. A solubilizer, as necessary, is blended in order to prevent the vinyl polymer from separating from the aromatic agent composition.
