Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ARP server, capable of informing an originating terminal of an address suitable for communication from the plural addresses which is utilizable for the communication to a terminating terminal.
SOLUTION: An ATMARP table 12, composed of plural unit tables for making an IP address and plural ATM addresses corresponding to each other, is provided inside this ARP server 10. A control part 11 is constituted so as to check the free band of a line related to the respective ATM addresses inside the unit table corresponding to the IP address and to inform the inquiring terminal of the ATM address of a largest free band, in the case that the ATM address of a certain IP address is inquired.
