Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement structure for an EGR gas cooling device of an internal combustion engine which enables the EGR gas cooling device to be arranged at an optimal position.SOLUTION: A transmission case (15) of a transmission (5) is arranged in a manner that positions a fixing upper section (H1) at a side closer to a crank shaft (13) than an upper face (a junction plane P with a cylinder head) of a cylinder block (7) of an internal combustion engine (4) in a direction (Z) of a cylinder shaft line thereof. An EGR gas cooling device (43) is installed on a side face (a chain case 12), where the transmission case (15) of the internal combustion engine (4) exists, at a position higher than the transmission case (15).
