PURPOSE: To obtain an array type solid electrolytic capacitor wherein the manufacturing process is simple and large capacitance can be obtained, by applying a polymer layer of heterocyclic compound to electrolyte.
CONSTITUTION: An insulator layer 23 is formed on a metal plate 21 capable of forming a dielectric oxide film. A plurality of metal exposed surfaces 21-1 to 21-10 which are continuous from the surface to the rear are formed by using the insulator layer 23. While at least one out of a plurality of the metal exposed surfaces is left. a dielectric oxide film layer, a polymer layer of complex cyclic compound, and a conductor layer are formed in order. A terminal 24 and terminals 25 are formed in the metal exposed part left on the metal plate and the conductor layer parts, respectively. Array type solid electrolytic capacitor elements formed by the above process are provided.
