PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying facility capable of improving storage efficiency of articles without installing a storage shelf on a floor part.SOLUTION: The article conveying facility includes an article conveying vehicle 1, a storage shelf 6, and a conveying apparatus 7 for a shelf. The article conveying vehicle 1 travels along a rail 11 hung and supported on a ceiling C. The storage shelf 6 is hung and supported on the ceiling C to be adjacent to the rail 11. The conveying apparatus 7 for the shelf is installed on a side opposite to a side on which the rail 11 exists with respect to the storage shelf 6. Some of a plurality of stages of a storage part 21 are regarded as storage/delivery stages 22a, and some of any stages other than the storage/delivery stages 22a are regarded as storage stages 23. The article conveying vehicle 1 can deliver an article W to the storage part 21 of the storage/delivery stages 22a but cannot deliver the article W to the storage part 21 of the storage stages 23. The conveying apparatus 7 for the shelf can convey the article W between the storage part 21 of the storage/delivery stages 22a and the storage part 21 of the storage stages 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
