Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject artificial DNA necessary for artificially producing the IX factor useful for the diagnosis of Christmas disease and the therapy of hemorrhage during the disease by a recombination DNA technology.
SOLUTION: This DNA is prepared from a human mRNA by a recombination DNA technology, and contains a nucleotide sequence coding a human IX factor polypeptide precursor capable of being converted into the human IX factor polypeptide by the action of a vitamin K-dependent enzyme in vivo and further coding an amino acid sequence of the formula. Or a complementary DNA of the artificial DNA.
